At day 100, we followed another Chinese tradition of shaving baby's head. Nathan's hair had this going bald look since it was almost 4cm long in the back, while in the front it was just starting to grow. So we decided to even it all out, and hopefully promote hair growth by shaving it all off. James had been contemplating what tool to use for a long time, and ended up getting one of those electric hair cutters. We decided on 1/8" setting instead of 0, so the blades' not too close to the head. We had Nathan in his high chair (good thing the cover is plastic making cleanup much easier) while James started trimming the front. The buzzing wasn't too loud and Nathan didn't seem too bothered by it. He enjoyed the attention since both me and nana had our cameras out taking pictures left and right. The back side of his head was a little harder to shave since I had to hold him and he was moving around quite a bit. Nathan looked quite different afterwards, especially from the back. His head seems bigger and rounder too. I love rubbing his head now and feeling tiny stubs of hair that's left.
