Pointing
Nathan has discovered recently that he can communicate by pointing (he started off using with 3 fingers instead of 1). He usually combines pointing with some "er", "ah" sounds. He likes to point at people and things in photographs and if I'm around I'll say the names out loud to him. He'll also point to things he wants, like the water bottle or cheerios container. He gets frustrated easy if there's miscommunication though. While being carried, he sometimes points to where he'd like to go next. E.g., earlier today he directed me from the bedroom to the kitchen counter where we usually store the milk bottles.

Memory
It's really interesting how Nathan seems to be developing both short term and long term memory now. Sometimes I would ask him "where's daddy" and even though daddy is out of sight, he'd remember which room he's in and run towards that direction.

Walking
In the last couple of weeks he's gotten a lot more control in his walking abilities. He's gotten confident enough to walk not just in the house but foreign surroundings as well. He's gotten a lot better at controlling which direction to go now and can come to a controlled stopped and turn 180 degrees. His latest thing is to walk around carrying a toy (favorite being the doodle-pro).
