Homework

Since starting 1st grade at Bullis Charter School, the biggest challenge for Nathan has been homework.  It's supposed to be 40 minutes at day and consists of mostly reading, writing, and math.  Of those writing is the hardest for Nathan.  Each week he gets 8 study words and he needs to write one sentence for each word.  Most of the times the sentences he comes up with are really simple, such as "I see a big plane", "I like red paint".  He is required to use one adjective in each sentence and James had actually banned him from using "big" as an adjective because he was using it in every other sentence.  Occasionally he'll write a few pretty silly ones.  "My mommy is a little bossy." was one that actually made me rethink my parenting style :)
